Nobody Does This on Easter Sunday

You can read this with chocolate all over your face and it won’t bother me too much. But before the sugar gets to your head and annihilates your thinking ability, I’d like to get a simple point across to you.

Indeed, today is Easter Sunday and for those who celebrate it I wish you a happy Easter. I bet most will be with their family and celebrating with various forms of sugar and sweets and a host of delicious meals. What’s not to like about Easter!

Given this holiday, I probably won’t go off on an extensive dissertation. I’ll keep it short this time but I’ll do my best to rival the sweetness contained in your belly.

There are advantages to taking time off sometimes. The richest people on earth don’t take much time off, but they do sometimes. That is why I won’t grill anyone today on taking an egg-cellent break. Those who are interested enough in reading this blog in the first place probably already work their butts off and are seeking to learn how to be better, work better and get faster results. Kudos to you. Scoff down that Easter egg like you’ve earned it! And while you do so, I want you to do a little something.

I want you to look. I want you to take an honest look at your life. I want you to take an honest look at the people that surround you, at your goals and at your attitudes towards your progress. And the exercise is simple so don’t go on complicating it. I simply want you to look and observe without being critical, without being sceptical or weird about it. Simply look and observe. And from that, I want you to make up your mind on how things are going for you. I want you to see for yourself who is around you, who’s helping you, who could be making it more difficult to advance and who is truly your friend. I want you to see for yourself if you are truly winning at life, attaining your goals and creating the difference you wish to leave upon this world. I want you to look upon what you have achieved and congratulate yourself on the good things you’ve done. Though it seems simple enough, the very action of looking versus thinking or assuming puts you in a position where you cannot lie to yourself. It puts you in a position where only the truth is prevalent. And frankly, only the truth can help you get on your way to succeeding.

Take your day off and make it a celebration of your good works and a preparation of those to come.

Happy Easter and keep up the good work.
