You heard me right. Ever feel like no matter which path you choose, which decision you make, you just can’t seem to go the right way? How frustrating is that? We’ve all been in situations where we got served a decision-making platter of goodness. We are stopped in our tracks by a simple dilemma; do I go this way or that-a way? We then go to great lengths thinking through a maze of possible outcomes, examining every single inch of mathematical data to solve this dilemma. We finally make the decision and seconds later it all goes to pieces. Wasn’t the right decision. But all is not lost. We know now that the next time we encounter this same problem, we’ll pick the next option. Well, the problem shows up again but we are wiser now. So we pick the next option. And what do you know, it totally flops!
Why in gods name would such thing occur? How can we get most decisions to work, even if just a little bit? Well I can tell you for certain that most of us are very much able to take good decisions. In fact, I would dare to say that whether you choose black or choose white has nothing to do with good decision-making skills. Both sides of a problem are solutions. Picking path A over path B or vice versa doesn’t really have any importance. However, you can go wrong by going path A and you can go wrong going path B. So if the path you take has no importance then what does? What is THE factor that can make you wrong on any decision?
What is time? Time is essentially the rate at which matter and energy move through space. That’s essentially what time is. This planet orbits around the sun at a determined pace. Therefore we have a unit such as earth hours to count time. But it is simply representative of motion through space. Unlike matter and energy, however, time is extremely hard to recuperate. Once it has gone, it has gone. Money on the other hand can be spent today and recuperated tomorrow without breaking too much of a sweat. Most of us can see this in action. We make a pay, pay expenses and make a new pay next week. Easy peasy. But time, oh boy. Once you’re 25 years young, that will most likely be the last time you’ll be that age. You just can roll it back. So time is actually more precious than money. Time is more “forever” than any diamond. Got it? Now we’ve got that out of the way, here comes the bombshell of this article.
YOUR WRONG DECISIONS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WHICH DECISION YOU MAKE BUT RATHER WITH HOW MUCH TIME YOU TAKE TO MAKE IT.
Sorry for making you fall off your chair but that is what it is. Here you are facing a challenge, a problem. That problem is moving through space; it is consuming time. Every minute that goes by is CHANGING the circumstances of the problem. While you are thinking it over, the problem is changing and therefore you begin trying to solve an old problem. Any decisions you take after working at it for a while can and will most likely go wrong. Now I’m not saying that if you make your decisions swiftly that every single one will be right. But let me say this, I can guarantee most will be right and the odd one that ends up being wrong will have next to no impact simply because of how many you got right. The key to good decisions is taking them as quick as a woodpecker. Who cares which decision you make, just make one. The best decisions are those taken in a single instant. Because I can tell you one thing, you are NATURALLY RIGHT. So quit questioning everything and looking over options for so long. Look it over if you must, but do so quickly.
That is the secret to making good decisions. Time is your most precious commodity just as much as it is your worst enemy. Don’t abuse the clock and it won’t abuse you.
